What does it mean to recession-proof your mind?

Life is fast and getting faster! Just think about the last five years and the advances that have been made in medicine, health, lifestyle, social issues, science, technology, and in just about every other area too. Progress is our status quo.

But we have a track record that shows that all this changes during periods of economic recession. We slow down. We spend less money. We invest in fewer things. We become more cautious, more fearful, and less risk-averse. We play it safe even though we know that’s never been the strategy for getting ahead in life.

The recession mindset holds people back.

Recession starts as an economic situation but it ends up affecting all of life. It’s not just that people spend less money, lay off workers and adopt a bunker mentality. Personal growth stalls. People lose interest in improving themselves and decide to just accept what is happening to them.

What if you refused to give up your power to choose your direction? Warren Buffet has said, “The most important investment you can make is in yourself.” In the FuDog Group, we like his contrarian way of thinking.

We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.
    —Warren Buffet

The FuDog Group wants to help you to be prepared in case of recession. You know that it takes pressure to create a diamond. In a recession, people experience a lot of pressure. What if you could decide how that pressure will affect you?

You can recession-proof your mind and learn how to continue to grow, expand and improve your life no matter what happens in our world.

“Money equals freedom,” according to Kevin O’Leary, the venture capital investor who has become known as “Mr. Wonderful,” on the popular TV show Shark Tank. O’Leary is opinionated, ruthless, and tells it like it is. He’s been highly successful throughout his life, learning very early on that “Whatever you pay attention to grows!” O’Leary lives by a rather simple principle: “I want to go to bed richer than when I woke up. The pursuit of wealth is a wonderful thing, but the thing is you have to be honest about it, you have to tell the truth.”

    Your Mind

“Life should not be measured by how happy you are in the moment, or how wealthy you are, or by what others think of you. It should be measured by how well your identity empowered you to actively engage and contribute every day to fulfill your highest purpose.”

    —Mike Agugliaro
